Salinas Fic

This is the fanfic journal of

salinasvalley. Most, but not all, of the fic posted here will be for the show Supernatural as part of a genre known as "Winsister" -- in short, AU (or, depending on personal preference with regards to terminology, AR or "parallel canon") fic in which one or both of the brothers was born a girl (more information on Winsister and it's other forms can be found at

winsisterfic).

Why Winsister? I suppose it's just a personal kink of mine. When I was still relatively new to the Supernatural fandom, I came across Winsister fiction and discovered I was rather intrigued by that facet of the Wincest genre (note: no, I do not in any way condone incest. This is fiction). Turning one of the brothers (in my case, primarily Sam) into a girl not only allows me to explore that relationship, but also explore the characters and show from a different angle.

There will, from time to time, be Supernatural fanfic that is based more in canon; and hopefully in the future, I'll expand to other fandoms, as well.

On Commenting

I welcome comments on any post, no matter how old it may be. I do my best to respond to all comments; sometimes it takes me a while, but know that I always appreciate people taking the time to respond to my fic, even when I space out and miss responding to a comment or two. ;)

On Content Filtering

At the moment, it is my decision not to use to LiveJournal's system for filtering adult and/or explicit content. I feel that my fic has always been clearly labeled, both with a general rating and with more detailed warnings, and that it is the reader's responsibility to heed those warnings.
